Suzanne: Pictures. We always used to queue for ages to go to the pictures. They’ve taken it all away.

Karen: There used to be loads to do but most of it’s shut down now. A lot of it stands empty now. Pictures is a furniture shop now. The Co-op shop is all rotted and on its way out.

S: Like we were saying, when we were kids there was always somewhere to go. Now there is only the sports centre.

K: There used to be amusement arcade. Binlid.

S: Binlid round back of Marks & Spencer’s.

K: You didn’t dare tell your mam that was where you went.

S: Saturday afternoons.

K: Joe Bananas. Do you remember Joe Bananas? That were closest to Caddy’s weren’t it after Caddy’s.

S: It was like an American diner. So that were really good.

K: It’s a Chinese now.
